Ben Johnson serves as the Executive Director of Good Shepherd Fund (GSF), carrying forward the vision and legacy established more than 50 years ago by his grandfather, Pastor Johnson.

Ben first joined GSF focusing on Special Needs Trusts, developing a deep understanding of the financial and personal complexities that families within the IDD community face. His dedication and thoughtful leadership led him to his current role, where he oversees the organization’s operations and guides its mission to provide compassionate, person-centered services to individuals with special needs.

Before returning to the United States, Ben lived in Japan for 15 years, where he began as an English teacher and went on to establish and operate his own English school. The harmony, respect, and intentionality he experienced there continue to influence his leadership philosophy.

As Executive Director, Ben is committed to ensuring that Good Shepherd Fund remains both stable and innovative—maintaining the trust of the community while fostering growth and sustainability for the future. He is also spearheading the growth of the Johnson Legacy Endowment, which will expand the organization’s capacity to provide pro bono services to those who need them most.
