How Can We Help?

Who We Are

The Good Shepherd Fund is a 501(C)(3) National Non-Profit Fiduciary, dedicated to enhancing the lives of minors, aging adults, and persons with disabilities. With over 50 years of compassionate service, we provide professional trust administration and other support services tailored to client needs. We care for our clients with the same love and kindness you’d expect from a family member or friend, ensuring that you and your loved ones receive the support needed to shape a better tomorrow.

Our Story

Since 1970, The Good Shepherd Fund has been committed to enriching the lives of those we serve. From advocacy to action, our unwavering dedication to compassion has made us a trusted ally in shaping a brighter future for individuals and families across the nation. We are here to help you shape the future for you and your loved ones, providing the support and guidance necessary to navigate the complexities of trust administration and asset management.

At The Good Shepherd Fund, we understand that our clients are much more than their diagnoses or conditions. They are beloved fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who entrust us with shaping their futures. That’s why we approach the care of each client with the same compassion and kindness one would expect from a cherished family member or friend.

Special Needs Trust Administration

We specialize in managing Special Needs Trusts to ensure that your loved one’s eligibility for needs-based government benefits remains intact while simultaneously improving their quality of life.

The Good Shepherd Fund acts as trustee of special needs trusts, including “d(4)(C)” special needs trusts, for individuals with developmental disabilities and other related disabilities for beneficiaries living in the Western United States.

Additionally, The Good Shepherd Fund serves as a court-appointed conservator or guardian for individuals with developmental disabilities in Colorado and California. We assist families with the estate planning process, particularly in planning for special needs trusts for individuals with developmental disabilities.

How We Can Help

  • Professional Trust Administration: Ensuring that trust assets are managed for long-term support, meeting the needs and best interests of the beneficiaries.
  • Special Needs Trust Management: Protecting the eligibility for needs-based government benefits while improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
  • Guardianship and Conservatorship: Acting as court-appointed conservators or guardians to provide comprehensive support and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Estate Planning Support: Helping families navigate the complex process of estate planning, helping pass wealth from one generation to the next with a focus on securing the future for individuals with special needs.
